DJ Rx has been a DJ in the Brazilian Zouk scene since 2016 and has played in festivals and marathons all over the world. Having just released his 5th album “Into the Dark” he continues to be one of the producers contributing new remixes to the Brazilian Zouk music pantheon. His goal in producing music is to bring dancers genres and feelings that are often missing in the typical Brazilian Zouk music scene while still creating music that would drive anyone to want to dance specifically Brazilian Zouk.
His background in music production and his training in classical music composition is often identified in his sound which blends Brazilian Zouk vibes with his love of classical, cinematic music, melodic EDM, and hard-hitting club bangers. He often tempers these diverse genres with the sounds of Mika Mendez, Djodje, and other artists that make music that is more traditionally thought of as Brazilian Zouk Music. His ability to blend all styles together while taking the community on an emotional journey typifies the sentiment from legendary composer Hans Zimmer- “all good music is storytelling.” Every time he is in front of the decks, it’s an opportunity to create a story with the dancers.
