Choose Your Own Adventure: Navigating From Your Inner Compass in Connection
Thursday January 9, 2025 6:30pm - 8:00pm EST
Want consistently juicy, connecting experiences on the dance floor? Want the most satisfying cuddle or massage experiences possible? Want more meaningful and long-lasting connections? In this playshop, we will practice moving from embodied desire and letting our bodies do the talking (knowing we always have words if we want them). Learn to identify and express your own body’s yes, no, and the spectrum between. Practice the art of sensing the subtle signs of yes and no in others. Discover the playfulness, presence, and pleasure of finding the sweet spot of mutual desire without words. You will leave with skills to create conSENSUAL connections throughout the rest of the festival and the rest of your life!

IFX Opening Ceremony: Welcome to the Interfusion Festival X Experience
Thursday January 9, 2025 8:30pm - 9:30pm EST
Terry Baranski and Hemant Kapoor will kick off Interfusion 2025 with a blend of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Naad Yoga, centered around the theme for this year's festival:
Harmony: The combination of separate but related parts in a way that uses their similarities to bring unity.
We'll discuss the roots of disharmony in modern culture, and how we can find harmony within ourselves. We'll then split up into groups of 3 for an exercise on exploring harmony and disharmony in our lives. After this, Hemant and Terry will guide everyone through an IFS / Naad Yoga exercise to get in touch with our true essence - what IFS calls the Self, and what in Naad Yoga is called Anahata - with the help of Hemant's beautiful music rooted in Indian Classical Ragas (Bhairo and Desh). The objective of this beautiful joint exercise will be to help everyone experience their higher Self through music and dialogue.
---
Indian classical traditions describe disharmony as when emotions cloud the Self, which is forever blissful. In Naad Yoga, it is possible to cut through the emotional cloud to arrive into complete harmony with oneself. Hemant will explain the principles of Indian Classical Music. Indian Classical explores the combination of 22 primary emotional notes (shrutis) expressed through the 60 healing ragas of Indian classical music. Participants will experience these emotions and moods through two specific ragas: Bhairo, which aids in cleansing and releasing unhelpful emotions, and Desh, which fosters joy and happiness. This immersive sound journey aims to align the listener’s chakras, promoting emotional and spiritual well-being.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an approach to therapy - and a tool for self-exploration - where we work with our mind, rather than against it, to restore balance and harmony to the internal system. By getting to know our minds in a very different way, we come to understand that the ways we tend to relate to disharmony are often counterproductive.

From Insight to Action: Integrating Your Festival Experience
Friday January 10, 2025 5:30pm - 6:30pm EST
Festivals like Interfusion can be inspiring and transformative, but the real magic happens in integration—taking the lessons, insights, and experiences you’ve gained and weaving them into your daily life in meaningful and sustainable ways. This workshop offers a holistic approach to integration across mind, body, emotion, and spirit, providing tools to help you process, embody, and grow from your experiences.

Through somatic practices to reconnect with the body, reflective exercises to honor emotional shifts, and creative approaches to deepen relational and spiritual awareness, you’ll gain clarity on how to carry these breakthroughs forward. Each session will be led by a different facilitator, offering unique perspectives and practices for integration. Whether you’re seeking grounding, insight, or ways to nurture connection in your communities, this supportive space invites you to celebrate your journey and create an intentional path that feels alive and uniquely yours.

Rolling out the Red Carpet for No 🌶️
Friday January 10, 2025 7:00pm - 8:30pm EST
Learn this advanced, trauma-informed, and pleasure-focused sexual communication technique and become a hero for all future partners! “Rolling out the red carpet for No” is not a consent technique; it's a way of being that addresses the realities of social power dynamics. It means making it as pleasurable to say no to you as it is to say yes! Activities include rejection experiences, dyad shares, role play scenarios, a game, and small group discussions. Participants emerge with a new language for navigating sexual encounters that transcends affirmative consent and traditional gender roles. They leave better communicators: more trauma-informed, pleasure-focused, and self-aware.

🌶️  Mild: The workshop does not invite sensuality or sexuality. There will be no facilitator invitations to cuddle or share moving touch, plus no welcoming or invoking of sexual energy. Any partner dancing that occurs will default to or center open position.
