This class is designed to help you find and feel the groove that makes this genre so irresistibly danceable. The groove..the underlying rhythmic pulse, is the soul of dance, driving movement and connecting dancers with music. You will learn to internalize this groove, allowing your body to move intuitively with music. Feel the music, let the rhythm take control, move your body to the beat, and let the groove guide you.

West Coast Swing 101 is an introductory class designed to teach the basics of this popular dance style. From foundational steps like the "sugar push" to essential techniques in leading and following side passes, participants will learn the key elements needed to start dancing West Coast Swing confidently. The class covers connection, styling, patterns, and timing, providing a solid foundation for further exploration in this dynamic and versatile dance.
