Interfusion Festival X (IFX)

How does your identity influence how you show up in your day-to-day life and at Interfusion Festival? The goal of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans / Gender-Nonconforming, Queer / Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, Plus Gathering Circle is for participants to share their experiences and their wisdom, access tools for self-care and heart-to-heart communication, and engage in collective healing. This group is open to LGBTQIA+ -identified individuals seeking an open, non-judgmental, heart-centered space.

🌶️ Mild: The workshop does not invite sensuality or sexuality. There will be no facilitator invitations to cuddle or share moving touch, plus no welcoming or invoking of sexual energy. Any partner dancing that occurs will default to or center open position.

It is a rhythmic partner dance that originally derived from Kizomba and Semba. Now, it's known for its intricate footwork, smooth body movements, and deep connection between partners.

This workshop is designed for dancers of all levels – from beginners who are just starting their dance journey to experienced dancers looking to refine their skills. Throughout the workshop, participants will learn fundamental Urbankiz steps, techniques for leading and following, partner connection exercises, musicality, and styling.

West Coast Swing 101 is an introductory class designed to teach the basics of this popular dance style. From foundational steps like the "sugar push" to essential techniques in leading and following side passes, participants will learn the key elements needed to start dancing West Coast Swing confidently. The class covers connection, styling, patterns, and timing, providing a solid foundation for further exploration in this dynamic and versatile dance. With a focus on fun and inclusivity, West Coast Swing 101 welcomes dancers of all levels to come and join the swing!
